Sossusvlei Guided trip:
Experience the secrets of the desert by doing a guided Sossusvlei trip. Driving you in one of our own 4 x 4 vehicles, would be one of A Little Sossus Lodge's own guides. Our Guides are knowledgeable and would ensure you an unforgettable experience.
Big Daddy, one of the world's tallest dunes, can be climbed for incredible views of Dead Vlei below and the entire area for miles. Aside from the spectacular scenery and geological fascinations at Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon, the area is ideal for observing some of the dune life for which the Namib is so well known. These dunes refract spectacular colours with the changing light and turn from burnt orange through reds to deepest mauve.
Naukluft Excursion
After a heartly Farm Breakfast, you will depart for the Naukluft Park and the gorgeous rock pools which are found there. Our guide will provide you with a picnic lunch and refreshments at one of the rock pools, whilst admiring the bird and wildlife of the area. Several hiking trails can be followed, where after you will return to the Lodge in the late afternoon in time for sundowners.
4x4 Sundowner Drive
By far the most favourite activity, is the sundowner drive in the evenings which includes a leisurely nature drive, slowly winding up a side of a mountain. At the top of the mountain you can enjoy the spectacular sunset while having a drink of your choice and some appetizing snacks. After sunset it is time to venture home again and prepare for the evening meal.
Horse Back Riding
Join us for an unforgettable experience discovering nature by horseback. Either early morning to catch the sun rise or a sundowner on horseback. On request we can also arrange an overnight under the stars.
Wine Tastings
A Little Sossus Lodge is the only lodge that offers you a complete wine tasting, starting with Rose, moving on to the Whites and ending it off with the Reds. All this under the bright Namibian skies. On request we cater for cheese platters and Food and Wine pairings can also be arranged.
Wine Safari's
Looking for a Wine tasting with a difference? Try one of our Wine Safari's. Either by Horseback or 4x4, we take you up to our wine tasting spot, where you will enjoy a complete tasting overlooking the beautiful surroundings.
