Avtivities in the area: Sossusvlei excursions, Ballooning, 4x4 trails in the Naukluft We could organise a guide for a day trip to sossusvlei or you could do a self-guided trip. Day 1, Sossusvlei Excursion: This half day excursion requires an early start to the day. After enjoying home baked rusks with coffee, you will be whisked off in your 4x4 to admire the majestic sand dunes of the Namib Desert. Our experienced guide will treat you to a day that you will not forget and at the same time will satisfy your curiosity. A scrumptious brunch is held under the camelthorn trees before your return to the Lodge. |

Day 2, Naukluft Excursion: After a hearty farm breakfast you will depart
for the Naukluft Park and the gorgeous rock pools which are found
there. Our guide will provide you with a picnic lunch and refreshments
at one of the rock pools, whilst admiring the bird and wildlife
of the area. Serveral hiking trails can be followed and return to
the Lodge is in the late afternoon in time for sundowners. |

The Naukluft is rated as one of
the best 4x4 trails in the World. This area is a hikers dream trail
with lots of plants and animals to see. |

Day 3, Duwiseb Excursion: |

The most extraordinary
residential building in South West Africa/Namibia is situated some
70 km to the southwest of Maltahoehe. This is Schloss Duwisib, a
castle built in 1909 for Baron von Wolff and furnished lavishly
by him with antique furniture, works of art, and firearms dating
back to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The castle is being
renovated and developed as a tourist attraction by the Directorate
of Nature Conservation. |

| Sundowner Drive: We also offer a sundowner drive in the evenings which includes a leisurely nature drive, slowly winding up a side of a mountain. At the top of the mountain you can enjoy the spectacular sunset while having a drink of your choice and some appetizing snacks. After sunset it is time to venture home again and prepare for the evening meal. |
